Hoppy Easter!

Forgive the terrible pun! Just thought it was in keeping with this eggcellent time of year! We made these two happy easter bunnies for two different school fairs, hope the winners are pleased with their cakes. The cakes are madagascan vanilla sponge with belgian chocolate buttercream filling. There is still time for you to order your own easter cake and we have several different variations including much less wild ones for a sophisticated grown up party- so do get in touch.

A very Happy Easter to you all!!

Cake Break, A Cake and Coffee Morning to raise money for The Multiple Sclerosis Society

On Friday 21st May, I invited the girls round to decorate some cakes. To raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, a brilliant charity who do great things for people and their families suffering from the affects of M.S. We had two types of cupcake to choose from, carrot cake with a silky cream cheese buttercream and lemon cupcakes with fresh lemon buttercream and plenty of zingy lemon zest. I taught the girls how to make little orange carrots to put atop the carrot cakes and pretty spring flowers to decorate the lemon cupcakes, which they went wild for! The ladies had a lovely time and I loved seeing how creative and different everyones cakes looked, very inspiring!
We managed to raise £200! Not bad for a mornings fun and natter! I'll let you know of future charity events and our coffee and cake mornings, please send me your e-mail if you are interested in attending the next one.

Best Wishes

Pretty Spring Cupcakes

We made these pretty spring cupcakes this morning for a birthday party. All the sugar flowers are hand made, roses, hydrangeas and cute little blossoms. They gave us a little bit of spring optimism so we thought we had to share. Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!
